Our under 16's welcomed Enniskerry to Whitegates this evening in the under 16 premier league. A great start had Rovers ahead within five minutes after a loose pass was picked up by Lorcan Sinnott and he drove beyond three Enniskerry players to finish neatly in the bottom corner. Enniskerry to their credit never dropped their heads and within ten minutes they were ahead 2-1, thanks mostly to some sloppy defending. Rovers were punished first from a bad clearance and secondly a corner deep to the back post. Rovers upped their game again and Sinnott equalised to go in at the break 2-2. The second half was only sixty seconds in when Sinnott bagged his hat-trick with another well taken goal after good work from Brandon Battams. His fourth would come two minutes later after a defence splitting pass from Evan Conyard and again Sinnotts effort flew past the keeper to give Rovers some daylight. Charlie Czwalina nabbed his first of the night when he was fouled on the edge of the box and he dusted himself off to finish the free kick beyond the Enniskerry keeper. His second and Rovers sixth came with twenty minutes to go when he broke free and finished with a delightful lob over the keeper. Some good performances all over the pitch but sloppy in parts. A good three points never the less which keeps their one hundred percent start to the season.
