Our under 18 girls travelled to take on Balbriggan this morning. Rovers aided by a stiff breeze took the game to the home side. They created several chance but at the break they found themselves 2-1 behind and up against it in the second half. Molly Sweeney scored the Rovers first half goal for her thirty fifth of the season and to keep her incredible record of scoring in every game this season. The second half started brightly for Rovers when they equalised with a top class volley from Sophie Fogarty when she got on the end of a corner. The wind played a big part in the second half and the home team took advantage adding two more goals to earn Balbriggan a 4-2 win. To the girls credit they battled right to the final whistle and were a little unlucky not to get something from the game.
