The club ran their open training sessions over all age groups from under 8's to 15's today, some took place at St Patricks National School while the 11 a side sessions took place at Whitegates. It was great to see the enthusiasm of the kids and the massive attendance. As well as our returning members it was encouraging to see in excess of 50 new members turning up which gives the volunteers in the club a positive feeling in their roles of promoting football in the community. A big thanks to club secretary Stephen Clarke who ensured everything went off smoothly. Many thanks to Ross Byrne and Colin Hindle who were on hand to make sure every player was registered and assisting with the running of the sessions. A massive thanks to all the managers and coaches who helped with the running of the sessions and finally but not least a huge thanks to the parents and kids for coming along and taking part.
