Our Leinster Senior side claimed a valuable three points in a 3-2 home win against Dundrum FC over the weekend. Rovers went one up after twenty minutes, Mick Delaney done great work on the left before finding Sam Brown who fired home. Rovers were dominated the game and had the chances to double their lead. But just before the break Dundrum levelled matters against the run of play. The second half saw Rovers on the front foot but fifteen minutes in they got caught on the break and found themselves 2-1 behind. Rovers kept knocking on the door seeking the equaliser and then with five minutes to go Sam Brown popped up with his and Rovers second to square everything up. Just when the game looked to be heading for a share of the spoils Rikki Quinn swung over a corner three minutes into injury time with Tommy Smullen getting on the end to head into the top corner to earn Rovers all three points. Tommy Smullen, Nathan Sullivan and Peter Finnegan dominated midfield and impressed throughout.
