After the frustration of last week’s postponement, our Senior A team kicked off their new campaign — and title defence — in style with a huge derby clash against neighbours Wicklow Town.

Our historic Quadruple-winning side showed exactly why they’re champions, storming to a 6–1 victory that not only launches their league season but also secures the Tommy Heffernan Shield — another piece of silverware for the cabinet! 

From the very first whistle, Rovers were sharp, clinical and relentless, dictating the tempo and cutting open the Town defence with precision and power. While Wicklow Town battled bravely, they had no answer to the quality and hunger of the reigning champions.

Six goals, three points, and one new trophy — a statement start to the season. This team’s appetite for silverware is as strong as ever, and the journey has only just begun!
