Our U14A's put in a very impressive performance against Arklow United today, securing a convincing 5-1 victory. The home side took an early lead when Alex Philippon assisted James Carroll, who scored in the 11th minute.
The lead was doubled just 16 minutes later when AJ Long's precise pass found Alex Philippon, who slotted the ball home to make it 2-0.
Wicklow Rovers continued to press, and Daniel Clarke's assist to James Carroll resulted in the third goal in the 35th minute.
The fourth goal came courtesy of excellent interplay between Alex Philippon and AJ Long, with Alex finding AJ in the 42nd minute.
Arklow United managed to pull one back in the 60th minute, but Wicklow Rovers sealed the win with a fifth goal when Mikie O'Neill's assist found Eoghan Quinn, who scored in the 68th minute.
