Wicklow Rovers Senior A team's impressive form continues, with another dominant victory in the Wicklow Cup.

Yesterday's match saw Rovers A triumph over Newtown United A with a resounding 5-1 victory in the Wicklow Cup quarter-final. James Kavanagh made a crucial save early on, denying Newtown from the penalty spot in the first 5 minutes. This set the stage for a Rovers onslaught, with Davey O'Sullivan scoring two goals in quick succession to put Rovers 2-0 ahead. Newtown managed to pull one back before half-time, leaving the score at 2-1 to Rovers at the break.

The second half was dominated by Davey O'Sullivan, who completed his hat-trick and then went on to score his fifth goal of the match. O'Sullivan's impressive scoring feat was supported by Tommy Smullen, who provided two assists, and JT Moorehouse, who set up another goal.

Davey O'Sullivan was deservedly named Man of the Match, adding to his recent accolades, having also won the award after scoring four goals in the previous match against Ashford. It was another strong all-around team performance from Rovers. Thanks to Newtown for a fantastic game of football.
